VetPartners relies on its volunteer-based Committees to achieve organization goals and objectives. Committees are the workplace of our association, and each work to develop policy and procedures on a variety of issues that support the association’s strategic objectives and activities. VetPartners encourages all members to get involved in a Committee, as they offer great opportunities for professional enrichment, networking, and volunteerism. ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITTEESBOARD RESOURCE COUNCILComprised of past Presidents of the Board, responsible for annually reviewing bylaws and making awards recommendations. COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEETori McLamore - Vice Chair Responsible for promoting and increasing awareness of VetPartners within the veterinary profession and the animal health industry. Meets: Monthly, every third Thursday at 3pm EST / 2pm CST. ETHICS COMMITTEEPromote among members an awareness of the VetPartners Code of Ethics and educate members about the content and application of the Code of Ethics. Evaluate fact-based formal complaints against its members. Meets: Monthly, every second Friday at 11am EST / 10am CST. MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEEResponsible for actively soliciting new members and developing programs and initiatives to retain current members. Review all membership applications. Meets: Monthly, every third Thursday at 11am EST / 10am CST. NOMINATING COMMITTEEResponsible for seeking out potential officers and directors and presenting a slate to the Board annually OPPORTUNITIES COMMITTEETo seek and secure sponsorships for VetPartners that meet our annual budget requirements. Meets: Monthly, every second Thursday at 2pm EST / 1pm CST.
PROGRAM COMMITTEEStacy Pursell - Chair Plan the program portions of the Annual and Mid-Year meetings, creating content that timely and serves the broadest needs of the membership as a whole. Meets: Bimonthly, every first and third Thursday at 11am EST / 10am CST. COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS COMMITTEEThe Community Connections Committee is a group of our members who work together to establish and maintain connections amongst the membership. The committee’s primary goal is to foster positive relationships within the organization. Meets: Monthly, every fourth Thursday at 4pm EST / 3pm CST. VALUATION COUNCILTony Mahan – Co-Chair Tera Eddleman – Co-Chair To provide tools to assist members who perform valuations and to educate veterinarians about practice appraisals and basic valuation theory. TECHNOLOGY & INNOVATION COMMITTEEDevelop tools and programs to educate members on how to use technology and offer resources that members can offer to their clients. Meets: Monthly, every fourth Thursday at 1pm EST / 12pm CST. |
